Gauges: Rekin226/aquascope-gauges, GeoParquet, rebuilt weekly. Nothing here needs a key.

Pick a gauge

Click a dot for its record, floods, flows and trend. Click anywhere else for the hydrology of that spot.

What works today
  • USGS, UK EA, Hub'Eau: full daily records, so flood frequency, flow duration and trend.
  • PEGELONLINE, OPW: the last month only. Taiwan CWA: daily rainfall.
  • Anywhere on land: ERA5 climate, GloFAS modelled discharge, and the upstream catchment.
  • The first analysis loads Python here (about 15 MB, once).

        Rainfall-runoff model GR4J, calibrated here

Fit the four-parameter GR4J model to this record with ERA5-Land/ERA5 rainfall and FAO-56 ET0 at the gauge (Open-Meteo), 65 % of the record to calibrate, the rest to validate. Runs in your browser in a few seconds.

A CSV or an Excel export, or the gauge you are looking at. Everything runs in this tab.

CSV or Excel. aquascope works out which column is the date and which is the value, converts to SI units and writes a QA report. Nothing is uploaded: the file is read in this tab.
