Troubleshooting¶
The plugin is not active after installation¶
Restart Thonny, then open a .pseudo or .algo file. The Pseudocode menu and companion views are enabled for Pseudocode editors.
Python is too old¶
The plugin line requires Python 3.11 or newer. Verify the Python used by your Thonny installation.
Run still behaves like a Python file¶
Confirm the file has a .pseudo or .algo extension. Pseudocode Run overrides apply only to Pseudocode editors; .py keeps normal Thonny behavior.
No diagnostics or completion appears¶
Open Informations and check the LSP state plus core/LSP/lexer versions. The plugin normally recovers the language server automatically; the manual Restart language server command is an emergency fallback.
The wrong source language is used¶
Choose the language for the active Pseudocode document or add a directive such as:
# language: fr
The source language is independent from the Thonny menu/interface language.
Mermaid / Graphviz is too small¶
Use the Taille / Size selector. Large Graphviz sizes intentionally keep their scale and can require scrolling instead of being shrunk to the panel width.
The flowchart does not update¶
Correct syntax/semantic errors first, then use the refresh control. The static Algorigramme and Tutor both use the shared program model.
I see many indentation errors after one bad line¶
Current 1.0.x releases recover from an isolated indentation mistake and avoid cascading diagnostics when following lines return to a coherent indentation level. Keep a minimal source example if you can reproduce otherwise.
I need editable-install, renderer override or CI instructions¶
Those are contributor topics. See Development.
