morph_open3d — 3D morphology op

• Data kinds: voxel → voxel

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.morph_open3d(vol, r=1, device='cpu', se='cube') (to call the implementation directly, import match3d; match3d.morph_open3d(vol, r=1, device='cpu', se='cube'); from the registry, ops3d.get("morph_open3d"))

• GPU: this op has a GPU path (device="cuda")

Usage

3-D opening = erosion → dilation. Removes the bright structures (spikes and grains) smaller than the structuring element.

morph_dilate3d(morph_erode3d(vol, r, ...), r, ...), the same SE applied 2 times. The output is at most the input (open <= vol): bright protrusions, isolated points and thin bridges into which the SE (a cube of side length 2r+1 or a ball of radius r) does not fit vanish, while the shape of large structures is preserved (idempotent: applying it 2 times gives the same result). r is in voxel units, se is "cube"/"ball" (anything else: ValueError), device is effective only for cube+torch. Returns (D,H,W) float32 numpy.

Use: vol − open is morph_tophat3d (extracting small bright structures). Removing isolated noise points in point-density voxels, removing thin lines in 2-valued occupancy.
