annotate_inset_layout — ANNOTATE paper op

• Data kinds: none → table (an op determined by its arguments alone — it takes no image or data input)

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.annotate_inset_layout(shape, src_rect, corner='rt', factor=None, margin=10, max_fraction=0.4) (to call the implementation directly, import annotate; annotate.annotate_inset_layout(shape, src_rect, corner='rt', factor=None, margin=10, max_fraction=0.4); from the registry, opsannotate.get("annotate_inset_layout"))

Usage

Returns a table (dict): where the magnified inset goes and at what factor, in closed form.

With factor=None, among factors where "width and height are both at most max_fraction of the image", the largest integer magnification. A corner where the inset would overlap the source box is a ValueError (it would hide its own source).

Returns

dict

{"src_rect","dst_rect","factor","corner"}.

Raises

ValueError

Source box outside the image, factor < 1 or non-integer, or the inset does not fit / overlaps the source box.
