fem_vs_halfspace — DRIVE tacslip op

• Data kinds: table × table → table

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.fem_vs_halfspace(fz: 'dict', fxz: 'dict') -> 'dict' (to call the implementation directly, import tacslip; tacslip.fem_vs_halfspace(fz: 'dict', fxz: 'dict') -> 'dict'; from the registry, opsdrive.get("fem_vs_halfspace"))

Usage

Compares the normal indentation fz and the oblique indentation fxz on the same node set (fem_nodes_load) with the half-space solution in shape only (the load magnitude is unknown). (1) Normalizes r·dz to 1 over 0.5–0.8 mm (mids, rdz_n): for the Boussinesq half-space it is constant for r ≫ contact, while a finite thickness makes it drop. Radius r_half at which it deviates from 1/r by a factor of 2 (None if there is none). (2) Fits dx(θ) of the oblique indentation to A + B cos²θ on rings r = 1/1.5/2/3 mm (ang: for Cerruti B/A = ν/(1−ν) → nu, ratio = (A+B)/A, R2), and dy to A + B sin2θ (dy_fit). Also returns R_dome (radius of a spherical cap fitted to the surface r–z), dy_over_dz0 (tangential component present even under the normal load alone = amount of asymmetry), rdx_n, dz0, dx_min_spacing, r and th (relative to the center). Raises ValueError: the 2 tables have different node counts, fewer than 10 nodes.
