pad_shear_asymmetry — DRIVE pegtactile op

• Data kinds: signal × signal → table

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.pad_shear_asymmetry(qR, qL) -> 'dict' (to call the implementation directly, import pegtactile; pegtactile.pad_shear_asymmetry(qR, qL) -> 'dict'; from the registry, opsdrive.get("pad_shear_asymmetry"))

Usage

Splits the membrane shear of the 2 pads into a common component (= axial force, direction of F_z/2) and a differential component (= couple, M/(2w)): common = (q_R + q_L)/2, diff = (q_R − q_L)/2. ratio_v = |diff_v| / (|common_v| + |diff_v|) (0 = same direction, 1 = pure couple), opposite_v = whether the sign of the v component is opposite between left and right. Raises ValueError: not 2 finite components.
