punch_surface_uz — DRIVE tactorque op

• Data kinds: matrix × scalar × scalar × scalar × scalar → matrix

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.punch_surface_uz(r, a: 'float', P: 'float', G: 'float', nu: 'float') -> 'np.ndarray' (to call the implementation directly, import tactorque; tactorque.punch_surface_uz(r, a: 'float', P: 'float', G: 'float', nu: 'float') -> 'np.ndarray'; from the registry, opsdrive.get("punch_surface_uz"))

Usage

Normal displacement [m] of the half-space surface under a flat circular punch (normal force P) (positive = sinking): uniform δ = P(1−ν)/(4Ga) inside the circle, (2δ/π) arcsin(a/r) outside (flat punch of Johnson 1985 §3.4; the equation number could not be confirmed in the text, unverified — verified numerically by agreeing within 0.35 % with the convolution of the Boussinesq kernel Kz). Raises ValueError: a, P, G ≤ 0.
