Renders a volume time series while advancing time and rotating the viewpoint (n_frames, size, size, 3) (rgbvideo).
Frame i composites, with vol_render_transfer, the volume at time t = (i / n_frames) · T · loops mod T (linear interpolation between adjacent volumes) from yaw yaw_start + yaw_span · i / n_frames. Opacity is brightness (normalised by the percentile of the whole sequence; below floor is transparent). mode="intensity" colours by grey brightness, mode="speed" by the speed between adjacent frames (volseq_speed, blue = slow → red = fast). Running time through loops cycles shows the beat many times in 1 orbit. video_write_gif turns it straight into a GIF.
