compare op• Data kinds: pairs × pairs → pairs
• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.profile_align(measured, reference, mode='chord') (to call the implementation directly, import profileops; profileops.profile_align(measured, reference, mode='chord'); from the registry, opsprofile.get("profile_align"))
• Return value through the ledger: fullseye.ledger.profile_align(...) returns only the declared out type pairs (the underlying function also returns auxiliary values). When you need what was dropped, use fullseye.ledger.profile_align.raw(...) or call profileops.profile_align directly.
• Underlying return: (aligned, info) -> pairs
Aligns a measured contour to the design contour. Returns (aligned, info).
mode is one of ALIGN_MODES. Similarity (scale estimation) is not offered -- because it would absorb the size error itself (measured table in the module docstring).
Returns:
(aligned (N, 2), info). info holds mode / angle_deg /
translation / scale (always 1.0, stating explicitly that it is not estimated).
