• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.ultrametric_contour_map(image, *, mask=None, connectivity: 'int' = 4, distance_matrix: 'bool' = False) -> 'Dict[str, object]' (to call the implementation directly, import seggraph; seggraph.ultrametric_contour_map(image, *, mask=None, connectivity: 'int' = 4, distance_matrix: 'bool' = False) -> 'Dict[str, object]'; from the registry, opssegmentation.get("ultrametric_contour_map"))
Ultrametric contour map (UCM) of the dynamics hierarchy: the value between neighbouring pixels p, q = the smallest threshold at which p and q fall into the same region (ultrametric_contour_map).
Edges inside a basin are 0; edges on the border between basins get the height at which the 2 basins meet in a 2nd Kruskal (merging the basin tree in ascending order of saliency).
Returns: ucm_h (H, W − 1: a pixel and its right neighbour), ucm_v (H − 1, W: a pixel and the one below), ucm (per pixel, the larger of right and below = the boundary represented by its upper-left pixel, same as segeval), basins, levels, distance (with distance_matrix=True and at most 2500 basins, the matrix of ultrametric distances for all pairs of basins). Components after cutting edges with ucm > θ at threshold θ = hierarchical_watershed(θ).
