msa op• Data kinds: table → table
• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.msa_attribute_agreement(table, appraiser='appraiser', part='part', rating='rating') (to call the implementation directly, import spc; spc.msa_attribute_agreement(table, appraiser='appraiser', part='part', rating='rating'); from the registry, opsspc.get("msa_attribute_agreement"))
Agreement between appraisers on attribute (pass/fail) inspection (table).
From a table in which several inspectors judged the same parts, returns Cohen's kappa for each pair of inspectors, the overall Fleiss' kappa, and the raw agreement rate.
★ Kappa is not the agreement rate itself. kappa = (p_o - p_e)/(1 - p_e) measures what remains after discounting the agreement p_e that happens even by chance -- in a process with a 95 % pass rate, even stamping at random gives a raw agreement above 90 %, so looking only at the agreement rate reads as "they agree well".
★ Exact values usable as a gate: everyone gives the same judgement → kappa = 1 (exact). For 2 raters x 2 categories, Cohen's kappa matches the closed form 2(ad-bc)/((a+b)(b+d)+(a+c)(c+d)). For independent random judgements the expectation is 0 (this one fluctuates per sample, so check it with an interval).
