vx_histogram — VX pixel op

• Data kinds: image2d → pairs

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.vx_histogram(image, *, num_bins, offset, range_) (to call the implementation directly, import vxcore; vxcore.vx_histogram(image, *, num_bins, offset, range_); from the registry, opsvx.get("vx_histogram"))

Usage

Histogram (Section 3.26): a pixel value I goes into the bin i = (I − offset) × numBins / range (offset ≤ I < offset + range, REQ-0230). Pixels outside the range are not counted. The bin is determined by integer division (truncation).

Returns the pairs (num_bins, 2): column 0 = pixel value at the lower edge of the bin (offset + i·range/numBins), column 1 = count.

Raises ValueError: not a 2-D U8 / num_bins or range_ not positive / num_bins > range_ / offset negative.

• Sample-data catalog (download URLs / licences) — 2-D uses skimage.data (BSD/public domain) plus synthetic images; 3-D lists download URLs for real data sources (Stanford, PDS, …).

• The canonical algorithm (author, year) and its uses are named in the family usage guide above.
