gradient op• Data kinds: image2d × image2d → image2d
• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.vx_magnitude(gx, gy) (to call the implementation directly, import vxcore; vxcore.vx_magnitude(gx, gy); from the registry, opsvx.get("vx_magnitude"))
Gradient magnitude (Section 3.31). The conceptual definition of REQ-0270 as is: z = uint16(sqrt(double(uint32(x·x) + uint32(y·y))) + 0.5), mag = z > 32767 ? 32767 : z. Both input and output are S16.
Raises ValueError: not a 2-D S16 / shapes differ.
• Sample-data catalog (download URLs / licences) — 2-D uses skimage.data (BSD/public domain) plus synthetic images; 3-D lists download URLs for real data sources (Stanford, PDS, …).
• Operator provenance and references — the sources of the research/methods this op family came from.
• The canonical algorithm (author, year) and its uses are named in the family usage guide above.
