convex_mirror_image — DRIVE pass op

• Data kinds: any → table

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.convex_mirror_image(object_distance, radius: 'float', *, eye_distance: 'float', object_size: 'float' = 1.0) -> 'Dict[str, object]' (to call the implementation directly, import drivepass; drivepass.convex_mirror_image(object_distance, radius: 'float', *, eye_distance: 'float', object_size: 'float' = 1.0) -> 'Dict[str, object]'; from the registry, opsdrive.get("convex_mirror_image"))

Usage

Virtual image in a convex mirror (paraxial, arrays allowed). Scenarios S064, S130.

1/a + 1/b = 2/R (b is the virtual image behind the mirror) → b = aR/(2a + R), magnification m = R/(2a + R). When the eye is at e (eye_distance) from the mirror, the apparent size of the image θ = 2 atan(m h /(2(e + b))); paraxially m h/(e + b) = h/(e + k a), k = 1 + 2e/R. flat_equivalent_distance = distance k a of a flat mirror that shows the same size (how far away it appears).

Empty input (object_distance with 0 elements) raises ValueError.
