course op• Data kinds: none → table (an op determined by its arguments alone — it takes no image or data input)
• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.course_turnaround(width=3.5, bay_width=3.5, depth=5.0, entry=5.0, corner_radius=1.0, arc_pts=16, side='left') (to call the implementation directly, import drivecourse; drivecourse.course_turnaround(width=3.5, bay_width=3.5, depth=5.0, entry=5.0, corner_radius=1.0, arc_pts=16, side='left'); from the registry, opsdrive.get("course_turnaround"))
Turnaround course (T-shaped): a parking bay (width bay_width along the road, depth depth) at the middle of one side of a road of width w (x ∈ [0, 2E + bay_width]), with an entrance/exit section E on each side of the bay mouth.
Exactly the figure of Appended Table 3 (3JH00000217784): a garage (width B × depth C) attached at a right angle partway along a road (width A); the road on both sides of the garage entrance is the entrance/exit part D, and the 2 concave vertices of the garage entrance are the corner cuts E. The figure has the garage on the right of an upward road, but here side="left" (+y) is the default and "right" mirrors it. The vehicle drives along the road, reverses into the garage and exits in the direction it came from (exit = (0, 0, π); to exit to the other side, choose the heading at placement). centerline is the road axis → garage axis. Area = (2E + bay_width)·w + depth·bay_width + 2r²(1 − π/4).
Standard: A = 3.5, B = 3.5, C = 5, D ≥ 5, E = 1 → params["regulation"].
Raises ValueError: width, garage width, depth or E not positive, r < 0, E < r or depth < r (corner cut does not fit on the side), arc_pts not an integer ≥ 1, side not left/right.
