• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.debye_ring_image(phases, weight_fractions, geometry, shape=(512, 512), size=inf, K=0.9, instrumental_fwhm=0.02, counts=20000.0, background=0.03, polarization=0.0, lorentz='powder', supersample=2, lattice_scales=None, seed=0, step=0.002, eta=0.0) (to call the implementation directly, import pxrd; pxrd.debye_ring_image(phases, weight_fractions, geometry, shape=(512, 512), size=inf, K=0.9, instrumental_fwhm=0.02, counts=20000.0, background=0.03, polarization=0.0, lorentz='powder', supersample=2, lattice_scales=None, seed=0, step=0.002, eta=0.0); from the registry, opsdrive.get("debye_ring_image"))
Synthesizes a 2-D detector image of Debye rings (with the contribution of each phase).
Intensity per unit solid angle of phase p ∝ vₚ (1/Vₚ²) Σ m|F|² L(2θ) × 形 (volume fraction vₚ ∝ Wₚ / ρₚ); the peak width adds Scherrer (size [Å]; a per-phase list is allowed; inf = no broadening) and the instrumental FWHM (instrumental_fwhm [deg]) as Gaussians. Pixel value = intensity × polarisation P(2θ, χ) × relative solid angle + flat background (background × maximum intensity, also with solid angle). Each pixel is the average of supersample² points (the spread over the pixel width is included naturally). If counts is a number, the maximum is scaled to counts and Poisson noise (seed) is added; None means no noise. lattice_scales is the per-phase lattice scale factor (to simulate thermal expansion / solid solution). eta is the Lorentzian fraction of the peak shape (pseudo-Voigt, 0 = Gaussian) —— for synthesising with a shape different from the dictionary to measure the effect of a shape mismatch.
Return value (dict): image ((H, W) float, counts), per_phase ((P, H, W), noise-free per-phase contributions), background ((H, W)), names, weight_fractions, volume_fractions, two_theta (2θ at pixel centres), geometry.
Raises ValueError: mismatch in numbers of phases and fractions, negative fraction / sum 0, faulty geometry, image too small.
