• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.idm_accel(v, gap, dv, *, v0: 'float', T: 'float', a: 'float', b: 'float', s0: 'float', delta: 'float' = 4.0) (to call the implementation directly, import drivetraffic; drivetraffic.idm_accel(v, gap, dv, *, v0: 'float', T: 'float', a: 'float', b: 'float', s0: 'float', delta: 'float' = 4.0); from the registry, opsdrive.get("idm_accel"))
Acceleration of the Intelligent Driver Model (Treiber, Hennecke, Helbing 2000).
a_IDM = a [ 1 − (v/v0)^δ − (s*/s)² ], s* = s0 + max(0, v T + v Δv / (2 sqrt(a b)))
dv = Δv = v − v_lead (positive when closing in), gap = s = distance to the rear of the leading vehicle (> 0; inf = road ahead is clear). v, gap, dv also work as arrays via numpy broadcasting (passing scalars returns a float).
Gate: at the equilibrium gap idm_equilibrium_gap with Δv = 0 the result is 0; with gap = inf it is a(1 − (v/v0)^δ).
Raises ValueError: v < 0, gap ≤ 0, non-finite, parameters not positive.
