env op• Data kinds: any → scalar
• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.julian_day(when) -> 'float' (to call the implementation directly, import driveenv; driveenv.julian_day(when) -> 'float'; from the registry, opsdrive.get("julian_day"))
Julian day (UT). when = a timezone-aware datetime (converted to UTC), or a number (taken as the Julian day as is).
A naive datetime (without tzinfo) is rejected (mixing up local time and UTC shifts the sun by 9 hours).
• Sample-data catalog (download URLs / licences) — 2-D uses skimage.data (BSD/public domain) plus synthetic images; 3-D lists download URLs for real data sources (Stanford, PDS, …).
• Operator provenance and references — the sources of the research/methods this op family came from.
• The canonical algorithm (author, year) and its uses are named in the family usage guide above.
