• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.obstruction_decel(dist, speed, t_free, *, sudden: 'float' = 2.0) -> 'Dict[str, object]' (to call the implementation directly, import drivecrossing; drivecrossing.obstruction_decel(dist, speed, t_free, *, sudden: 'float' = 2.0) -> 'Dict[str, object]'; from the registry, opsdrive.get("obstruction_decel"))
Constant deceleration required for a vehicle on the crossing road (distance dist to the zone, speed speed) not to enter the zone before t_free (closed form, arrays allowed).
T = t_free. If speed·T ≤ dist, then 0 (it is in time without decelerating). If T ≤ 2 dist / speed, then 2(speed·T − dist)/T²; later than that, speed² / (2 dist) (stop before the region). obstructs = deceleration > sudden (assumption 2.0 m/s², Road Traffic Act (Japan) Article 2, item 22: "must suddenly change speed or direction"). dist ≤ 0 (already in the region) with T > 0 gives ∞.
