pxrd op• Data kinds: signal × signal × table → table
• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.phase_peel(two_theta, intensity, dictionary, max_phases=None, min_gain=0.05, min_fraction=0.005, background_order=4, sigma=None) (to call the implementation directly, import pxrd; pxrd.phase_peel(two_theta, intensity, dictionary, max_phases=None, min_gain=0.05, min_fraction=0.005, background_order=4, sigma=None); from the registry, opsdrive.get("phase_peel"))
Peels phases off a mixture 1 at a time (greedy forward selection).
Stage 0 is background only. At each stage, each not-yet-selected phase is added one at a time and fitted with phase_fractions, and the phase that lowers rwp the most is chosen. Stop if the relative decrease of rwp is below min_gain, or if the weight fraction of the chosen phase is below min_fraction.
Unlike phase_fractions, which fits all phases at once, this keeps "in which order, and by how much, the explanation progressed" (material for figures).
Return value (dict): order (names in the order chosen), stages (each stage's phases, weight_fraction, fit, residual, rwp), final (the phase_fractions result of the last stage).
Raises ValueError: same as phase_fractions. min_gain outside [0, 1).
