rss_worst_case_gap — DRIVE rss op

• Data kinds: table → table

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.rss_worst_case_gap(d0: 'float', v_rear: 'float', v_front: 'float', p: 'dict', p_front: 'Optional[dict]' = None, dt: 'float' = 0.001, t_max: 'Optional[float]' = None) -> 'Dict[str, object]' (to call the implementation directly, import rsssafety; rsssafety.rss_worst_case_gap(d0: 'float', v_rear: 'float', v_front: 'float', p: 'dict', p_front: 'Optional[dict]' = None, dt: 'float' = 0.001, t_max: 'Optional[float]' = None) -> 'Dict[str, object]'; from the registry, opsdrive.get("rss_worst_case_gap"))

Usage

Tracks the same-direction worst case (paper Definition 4) over time.

The leading vehicle decelerates with brake_max from t = 0 until it stops. The following vehicle uses accel_max during ρ (capped at v_max_accel), then decelerates with brake_min until it stops. Positions at each time use the exact piecewise constant-acceleration formulas, and the time series always includes ρ, the capping time, and each vehicle's stop time (dt is only the display density; min_gap does not depend on dt).

Returns

dict : t, x_rear, x_front, v_rear, v_front, gap (ndarray), min_gap, t_min (float),

collided (min_gap < 0), t_stop_rear, t_stop_front. gap = x_front − x_rear

(gap between the front end of the following vehicle and the rear end of the leading vehicle; the follower starts at x = 0, the leader at x = d0).

min_gap = d0 − max(d_min − min_distance, 0) holds (d_min = rss_longitudinal_same).

Giving t_max truncates (before both vehicles stop).
