scoop op• Data kinds: image2d × image2d × scalar → table
• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.two_view_volume(side_a, side_b, pitch: 'float', *, threshold: 'float' = 0.5) -> 'dict' (to call the implementation directly, import scoop; scoop.two_view_volume(side_a, side_b, pitch: 'float', *, threshold: 'float' = 0.5) -> 'dict'; from the registry, opsdrive.get("two_view_volume"))
Volume from side images in 2 orthogonal directions — sum of ellipses whose axes are the 2 chords W_a and W_b of each row, V = Σ f π (W_a/2)(W_b/2) pitch³.
Exact when the cross-section is an ellipse (a non-axisymmetric mound, an elongated heap); assuming a solid of revolution from only one view is off by the ratio of the ellipse's flattening (in the PoC,
a 1.6 : 1 elliptic cone gives −38 % / +60 % from one view). The row fill f (rows that a flat surface crosses mid-row, read in image a) converts the chord to
W = w / f before multiplying (because the product of widths undercounts by f²). Remove noise first. The two images must share the same height steps (the same row is the same height). Returns: V, V_a / V_b (solid of revolution from one view only, Pappus), ellipticity (median of the chord ratio max/min). Raises ValueError: different row counts / not a coverage fraction / empty.
