These are the SASS sources for the DocBook xslTNG CSS (docpub theme).

Runtime uses the compiled files under ../css/. Edit SCSS here, then recompile.

## Layout

- `media-all/` — shared element styles (screen, epub, and paged). Edit per-element
  partials such as `_admonition`-related rules in `_tables.scss`, `_verbatim.scss`, etc.
- `page-setup/` — page geometry; `_single.scss` vs `_double.scss` for pdf.s / pdf.d
- `paged.single.scss` / `paged.double.scss` — paged PDF entry points
- `docbook-screen.scss` / `docbook-paged.scss` / `docbook-epub.scss` — official-style hubs
- `_upstream/` — archived upstream monoliths for upgrade diffs (not compiled)

## Build (Dart Sass)

From the repository root:

```bash
npm install
npm run sass:docpub
```

Requires the `sass` CLI (npm `sass` package or a system Dart Sass install).

Customization: keep stock modules as the baseline; prefer editing `media-all/` partials
or adding a thin overlay rather than resurrecting the old `dp-paged/` split.
