Project Task Assign To Me

This module restores the Assign to Me button that Odoo removed from the task form in version 17.0, so users can take a task with one click.

The button is highlighted while the task has no assignees, and is shown as a secondary button when the task is assigned to other users. It is hidden once the current user is among the assignees.

Usage

  1. Go to Project and open a task you are not assigned to.
  2. Click Assign to Me in the header, or press the q hotkey.
  3. You are added to the task assignees, keeping the existing ones.
