Privacy policy

Last updated: 13 May 2026

Chain Ladder is a calculation tool. It runs locally on your machine — every triangle you analyse, every CSV you load, and every result you see lives on your computer and goes nowhere else. This page exists because the App Store, the MCP Connectors directory, and a few other listings require a privacy policy URL. It's also genuinely how the product is built.

What we collect

Nothing. The MCP server makes no network requests of any kind. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no error reporting, and no usage tracking. The source code is open and you are welcome to verify this yourself at github.com/datalattice/mcp-chainladder.

What stays on your machine

Claude (the LLM client) sees the same data Claude already sees in any conversation — your prompts and the JSON responses from each tool call. Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/legal/privacy governs what happens to that data on their side; that's outside our control. If you're handling client-confidential reserving data, consider the same precautions you would in any LLM conversation about it (e.g., redact identifiers, use a private deployment).

Pro tier purchases

If you buy a Pro license, your name and email are processed by our payment provider (Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, or Gumroad depending on the checkout link you use). That happens entirely on their infrastructure; we receive a receipt event, generate a signed license file, and email it to you. After that, we keep:

We do not share any of this with third parties beyond what's required to deliver the product to you. We never sell email addresses or any other personal data. Email support@chainladder.app to request deletion or export of your purchase record under GDPR / CCPA / equivalent — we'll action within 14 days.

Cookies, fonts, scripts

This marketing site loads no cookies, no JavaScript, no remote fonts, and no analytics. The stylesheet is self-contained and uses system fonts only. The MCP server itself loads nothing over the network at runtime.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change anything material here, we'll update the date at the top, post a note in the GitHub release notes, and (if you're a Pro customer) email you. Substantive changes get at least 30 days' notice before they take effect.
