Depth = folders under the project (how far Map walks for white papers) — not law “L0/L1/L2”. Gold piles are required basenames only (AGENTS.md, PERIMETER.md, vendor pointers) at the project root. White piles are every other .md within this depth (README, docs, …). Workspace root works the same (all root .md). Heaps / workers/ / ops/ skipped — hand papers stay on HANDS. Stored as suite.mapMdDepth (this browser). Reload Map after change.
Stored as suite.mapDigDepth. How many times you can click a folder bubble to dig deeper. Beyond the cap, Map offers Finder. Gold/white MD stacks sit on the hub rim at every level (same as hands @12 / jobs @6).
On activity and work-order surfaces, your actions show as You — not a machine id. Hired agents keep their own names.
Built-in human wire ids already map to You (the face you see). Ticket storage keeps the wire id; only the face is humanized. Add laptop hostnames under Extra ids if needed.

Inventory of folders hidden from the Map diagram (still on disk). To change this day to day: use Map → Off the map strip → show/hide folders on the diagram. Engines ignore this list.
Files operate is always list / Finder (/map, /home?project=). List|Map mode and suite.mapPaint steering are retired (pc-327). System diagram is Workspace map at /workspace-map (alias /skin), entered from Workspace Home (pc-328) — independent of Files; never labeled as the census engine.
