# aws-sso-switcher

Switch between AWS SSO profiles with one command. No shell setup required.

## Install

```bash
pipx install aws-sso-switcher
```

Requires AWS CLI v2.

## Configure

Define profiles in `~/.aws/config`, named however you like:

```ini
[sso-session my-org]
sso_start_url = https://my-org.awsapps.com/start
sso_region = us-east-1
sso_registration_scopes = sso:account:access
[profile dev]
sso_session = my-org
sso_account_id = 111111111111
sso_role_name = AdministratorAccess
region = us-east-1
```

## Use

```bash
awsp dev        # make 'dev' the default profile, SSO login if needed
awsp            # interactive picker
awsp -l         # list profiles
aws s3 ls       # now runs against 'dev'
```

`awsp` copies the selected profile into `[default]` in `~/.aws/config`
(a backup is saved to `~/.aws/config.bak`). The switch applies to all terminals.

If `AWS_PROFILE` is set in your shell it overrides the default; `unset AWS_PROFILE`.

Per-terminal mode (optional): `eval "$(awsp --export-env dev)"`
