 CLINICAL INDICATION: ___-year-old status post exploratory laparotomy, evaluate for infectious process.
 
 Comparison to prior study dated ___.
 
 Portable semi-erect chest film ___ at 4:44 a.m. is submitted.
 
 IMPRESSION:
 
 1. No large pneumothorax is seen.
 There are worsening bilateral parenchymal and perihilar opacities suggestive of worsening pulmonary edema.
 The heart is enlarged.
 Left internal jugular central line and tracheostomy tube remain unchanged.
 Mediastinal contour appear widened but likely is related to patient rotation.
 There continues to be a layering left effusion with consolidation of the left base likely reflecting lobar collapse.
