FINAL REPORT
EXAMINATION: CHEST (PORTABLE AP)

INDICATION: ___ year old man with hypoxemic resp failure now intubated. Not sedated. Diffuculty weaning. // interva change interva change

COMPARISON: Chest radiographs ___ through ___.

IMPRESSION:

There is no pneumothorax.
ET tube and a right thicker subclavian line are in standard placements and a nasogastric drainage tube passes into the stomach and out of view.
There is no pulmonary edema.
Heart size is normal.
Thoracic aorta is extremely tortuous in the ascending portion may be mildly dilated but this is stable.
Hyperinflation indicates severe emphysema.
Since then there has been study improvement in all parameters.
Severe consolidation predominantly in the left lower lobe, moderate, if asymmetric, pulmonary edema, right lower lobe collapse, moderate pleural effusions and cardiomegaly were all at there worst on ___.
But there is still some residual consolidation at the base of the right Lung which could be pneumonia or atelectasis.
