REASON FOR EXAM: Possible consolidation in prior radiograph. Patient found down after fall.
SINGLE FRONTAL VIEW OF THE CHEST

Comparison is made with prior study performed a day earlier.

The aorta is tortuous.
Cardiomegaly is stable.
There is no pneumothorax.
Right perihilar consolidation is again noted, consistent with infection.
Mild-to-moderate pulmonary edema has worsened.
Small right effusion is more conspicuous than before.
NG tube tip is out of view below the diaphragm.
Opacities in the left lower lobe have worsened; a combination of atelectasis, effusion and edema.
