CLINICAL INDICATION: ___-year-old with respiratory failure, evaluate ARDS.

Comparison is made to the patient's prior study of ___ at 5:41.

Portable AP upright chest film ___ at 5:58 is submitted.

IMPRESSION:

1. No pneumothorax is appreciated. No evidence of pulmonary edema. Aorta is somewhat unfolded and tortuous. Heart remains stably enlarged. There is a layering left effusion. There is increasing consolidation in the retrocardiac region, also likely reflecting atelectasis, although pneumonia cannot be entirely excluded. There is persistent triangular opacity at the right base likely reflecting atelectasis or pulmonary contusion. A left subclavian central line continues to terminate in the proximal SVC. A left chest
