HISTORY: Decreased level of consciousness and hypercarbic respiratory failure.

IMPRESSION: AP chest compared to ___:

No pneumothorax. Small bilateral pleural effusions are presumed, but not substantial. ET tube is in standard placement. Right jugular line ends low in the SVC. An upper enteric drains tube ends in the upper portion of a non-distended stomach. Consolidation has progressed in the left lower lobe could be either atelectasis or pneumonia. On the right, perihilar pulmonary edema has changed in distribution but not in overall severity since ___, improved since the earliest examination that day. Severe enlargement of the cardiac silhouette, and distention of both pulmonary hilar, and mediastinal vasculature are longstanding.
