Raw / unnormalised (not clamped to `[0, 1]`): the magnitude is a metric
quantity and, for a spectrum, spans many orders of magnitude. Pair it with
:func:cx_from_mag_phase to reconstruct the field exactly, or with
:func:cx_log_magnitude / `imgio.normalize` to view it.
Typed bridge of the 2d op `cx_magnitude into the 2-D evolution registry: the same implementation, called under the op(v, a, b) convention. This op has no tunable parameter; a and b` are unused.
