# terragrids

**Pre-release placeholder.** This package reserves the name `terragrids` and
contains no functionality yet.

## What it will do

`terragrids` will measure heat exposure where health data is recorded:

- compute established heat-stress measures (the heat index, the wet-bulb globe
  temperature, and the Universal Thermal Climate Index) from reanalysis weather;
- turn gridded values into one number per administrative area, weighting each grid
  cell by how many people live in it.

A first usable release, with a European exposure dataset, is planned. Until then,
installing this package gives you only its version number:

```python
import terragrids
print(terragrids.__version__)  # 0.0.1
```
